How long does a stocktake take?
Depends on the size of your inventory: a small grocery store with a scanner gets counted in an evening. With two or three people counting by zone it goes even faster.
What do I do about a shortage I find?
The system shows the list of discrepancies with amounts. You decide: correct the stock, recount the items or talk to the person responsible. The stocktake report will back you up.
Can I run a stocktake in parts?
Yes, that's common practice: dairy today, dry goods tomorrow. Each part is a separate document with its own result.
Do I have to buy a scanner?
No. The phone camera in the X2 POS app scans barcodes. A scanner speeds things up, but you can start without one.
